OBJECTIVES
The prime objective of this biotechnology (honours) degree course is to prepare graduates for challenging careers all over the world in the biotechnology industries, developing entrepreneurial leadership, professional confidence and analytical skills, upward mobility for higher studies and research in the field of biotechnology.
JOBPOTENTIAL
SELF: biotechnology has tremendous job placement. The successful student will be able to establish trading industrial and consultancy organization in pharmaceuticals, paper, fermentation, food processing, preservation, agriculture, environmental protection and also their own industry for micro propagation of commercial important plants in vitro, transgenic plants, vaccine production, clinical pathology, genetic counseling, human karyotyping etc.
Wage: Multinational companies dealing with production of tissue cultured and genetically modified plants, food, leather, dairy, beverages, pharmaceuticals, chemical industries, agribusiness, environment protection, medicinal and scientific research establishments, and universities in India and abroad.
THE COURSE
Vocational course means a training course meant for career orientation. The students aspiring to take admission in a particular subject are, therefore, supposed to pursue the subject as a career for his or her life.
