Placements play an increasing role in any higher educational institution of repute. Although St. Columba’s  college mostly caters to traditional subjects at the graduate and post-graduate levels, except for three vocational courses being run, the career counselling and placement cell of the college has been striving hard in shaping the careers of our students in the right perspective. In association with the respective departments, counselling needs are analysed. This is then converted into proper counselling sessions being organized by experts from industry and academia. This helps to boost student exposure to industry requirements.

Besides, placement cell also organizes placement drives in association with industry and government. The college alumni also help in counselling the students with their knowledge and experience. This helps to develop the productivity and employability of the students.

The career counselling and placement cell performs several activities relating to students, including:

• Career Guidance sessions from industry experts helping students to make informed choices regarding their careers.
